1. Who we are

Dry Ground Foundation is a Public Charitable Trust registered on 14 March 2021 with the Office of the Sub-Registrar VII, New Delhi, registration no. 412/Book-IV/2021. Registered office: 24, Community Centre, New Delhi 110001, India. For legal notices write to legal@dryground.org.in.

2. Donations

Donations are voluntary gifts in Indian Rupees. By donating you confirm that the funds are yours to give, that the information you supply is accurate, and that you are not using the gift to launder money or finance unlawful activity. We may decline or return a gift that we reasonably believe is unlawful, misdirected or made in error.

You may choose a cause. If a cause is closed, fully funded or cannot accept the gift, we will apply it to the General Fund or to the nearest related program and say so on your receipt where an email is provided. General Fund gifts are directed by the Board to the program with the most immediate verified need.

Monthly giving, where offered, begins with a first one-time verified payment. Later months are collected only when a subscription plan is enabled. You may write to donations@dryground.org.in to stop a recurring arrangement.

3. Payments

Online payments are processed by Razorpay, an authorised Indian payment aggregator. Dry Ground Foundation never stores your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking password. A donation is treated as successful only after server-side verification of the payment signature or webhook. Do not rely on a browser success screen alone.

Offline / bank-transfer gifts are recorded only after credit is verified by two officers. Bank particulars are shared after identity verification. We do not accept cash by post or foreign-currency contributions.

4. Receipts and tax

A donation acknowledgement is issued when we have a working email or when you request one. Not to be claimed until a verified certificate is published. Donors must not file an 80G claim on the basis of this website until a verified certificate is published on the Transparency page. 12A status: Application filed — URN to be published on receipt.

FCRA: Not registered. Foreign contributions are not accepted.. We cannot accept gifts from foreign sources as defined under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010.

5. Gift donations and messages

If you donate in someone’s name, we store the note with the gift. An e-card is sent only when email delivery is configured and a valid honouree email is supplied. Public wall messages must not be defamatory, hateful or unlawful; we may edit or remove them.

6. Website use

Content is for general information about our work in India. It is not professional advice. You may not misuse the service, scrape it aggressively, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malware, or reproduce photographs, stories or branding without written permission. Field photographs are used to show the reality of the work; they must not be reused out of context.

Staff login and administrative tools are restricted. Any attempt to probe, bypass or impersonate staff access is prohibited.

7. Intellectual property

The Dry Ground name, mark, site design and original writing belong to the Trust. Third-party marks (including Razorpay) remain their owners’. Some photographs are field or licensed images used for charitable communication.

8. Third-party services

Checkout, hosting, email and analytics providers act as processors or independent controllers for their own services. Their terms apply to the portion of the journey they handle. We are not responsible for a failure that occurs solely on a third-party network after we have passed a verified instruction.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, Dry Ground Foundation is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for delay caused by banks, payment gateways, networks or events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any duty that cannot legally be limited.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify the Trust and its trustees against loss arising from your breach of these terms or from a donation made with funds you were not entitled to give.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer forum that may be available to you.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance. For a donation already completed, the terms in force on the payment date apply to that gift.
