Safeguarding Policy

Dry Ground Foundation works in floods, poverty and old-age care. People we serve may be unable to refuse a camera, a visitor or a gift. This policy is for staff, volunteers, photographers, partners and anyone writing about our work.
1. Principles
- Dignity first. We do not stage suffering for a donation.
- No child or elder is identified with a full address, school or phone number on this site.
- Informed consent is sought from the person, or from a parent or guardian for a child, before a close portrait is published.
- A beneficiary may refuse a photograph or ask us to take one down. We will comply unless a legal duty prevents it.
- Two adults are present for any private conversation with a child in a program setting.
2. Conduct
Staff and volunteers must not be alone overnight with a child, must not offer private gifts for photographs, and must report any suspicion of abuse within 24 hours to the Managing Trustee and to grievance@dryground.org.in. We will cooperate with the police and the Child Welfare Committee where required.
3. Images on this site
Gallery and homepage photographs show real conditions of flood, old age and poverty so that donors do not look away. They are not a licence to share a person’s face with mockery or in advertising unrelated to this Trust. Please do not download and reuse images without written permission.
